My first stop for all things beer! Having attended a CAMRA event where Cheryl gave a very engaging talk & tasting Belgium beers, I invited Cheryl to produce some tasting notes for 2 customers of mine. Given the quality and depth of them, the tasting notes have proved invaluable. Additionally, Cheryl gave an insightful and much-appreciated talk on food pairings for an event hosted by the Department of International Trade to an audience of brewers starting on their export journey.
A vital font of knowledge, with an infectious passion for all things beer, cheese and cider related (and no doubt other areas) Cheryl is my first stop when I have a related query…. I strongly recommend her beer & cheese tastings in Norwich.
We had a lovely evening. It was great to do something different and enjoy some fantastic cheese and beer with friends at the same time. You are very knowledgeable and your delivery was brilliant – loved the animal sticks! We learnt a lot and had a great evening staying on the call to catch up once you had educated us! Thanks Cheryl for a fantastic private beer tasting event for a large group of friends and family. A few people enjoyed themselves a little bit too much! Would highly recommend. Everyone had a brilliant night and although it was a few weeks ago they still talk about it. Great social evening while also learning something. You are extremely knowledgeable and delivered it in a fun informal way. In addition to answering all the random questions thrown at you, you even joined in the after-party games! What more could I want?! Also the food was amazing and good value. A fantastic selection of meat, cheese, crackers and bread, which matched the half a dozen beers we tasted. Thank you again.
Another great trip to Belgium to experience the world of beer. Cheryl and Mark of “The Thirst Consultants” really do put on an excellent trip.. this time the destination was the little town of Kortrijk..a good choice.., the hotel was small and friendly..the rooms spacious..and an ideal base to explore what Kortrijk had to offer… armed with a fact file of information of the various bars to be found dotted around (researched by Cheryl and Mark).. it was time to taste some great beers. The tour includes visits to different types/styles of brewers..all having their own unique taste..and dining in interesting, stunning bars. A mention must go to Peter (the new coach driver)…who, on his day off invited us to ride with him to Ypres.. because it was somewhere he wanted to go to…a lovely guy..! All in all if you’d like to experience a great few days with a fantastic bunch of people including a tour of breweries and bars and of course… Belgium beers.
I have attended the Ladies Beer Club in Norwich, a couple of networking events with beer tasting and also just done the Belgium Beer Tour. Everything has been fantastic! Their talks and tours are interesting, funny and informative and they really know their history too. The Belgium Tour was just amazing … so much fun and with a great bunch of people – I don’t think I have laughed so much in one weekend! We stayed in a great hotel in a great town and visited some great breweries and also had some great food! I would highly recommend hiring them for your next event and going on one of their tours! Cheryl really went out her way to pre-order Vegan meals and ensure I would be catered for food and beer wise so a big thank you! Would highly recommend their tours!
I have just come back from a beer tour to Bruges – had the most wonderful time. From beginning to the finish a well organised, thought out tour. Always impressed by Cheryl’s handouts as they are informative, and her knowledge of beer and the area is great. Thank you to Mark for all his beer recommendations. Even if there were some glitches, they were dealt with promptly, in a professional yet friendly manner. I am already looking forward to the next one.
